Album 2 - Meaning
7.23.2009
Daniel and Brandon Lata in the studio August 2007

I'm going back to the studio at the end of August and much has changed in my life since I was last there. Iconologia was about death, life, and redemption; it reflected who I was at the time. I've since married and we have a cute little baby girl- things have changed. So I expect the new album - whatever it'll be called - to join the new experiences in my life with themes I have always love to write about. Whatever songs result will be a snapshot of my life during those two weeks yet to come in August of 2009.

10 Songs and 2 Years
7.09.2009

Recorded during 11 days in North Collins, NY, Iconologia is my second studio album (the first, A Lost Year, is unreleased). Brandon Lata, my great friend and recording engineer, was able to set in stone the sounds of those 11 days of recording - and the two years of my life that are reflected in those 10 tracks.

A prostitute I found begging for money in Union Square, the sounds of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and my beautiful wife all influenced this work. I hope you can connect with the songs too.

I'll return to Cabrini Studio this August to record another LP and am writing the tracks now.

Picture of the Day
7.01.2009
Mechanic in SOHO I was walking in Soho with my wife and saw this man smiling. He looked happier than anyone in the neighborhood. It's hard not to be affected by the sad climate; he is not.
